Do you offer custom party planning services?
While we do not offer custom planning services, we are always working on creating new themes. If you had a theme in mind that you do not see, please feel free to ask… it may be coming soon and available in time for your event.
Do you offer a party room for rental?
We currently do not offer a party room, but are considering it in our permanent location.
Can I schedule my party outside of my home?
Yes. Take The Cake will come to the location of your choice but, in some cases, it may result in additional charges. It is also important to remember that our theme decors are designed for the home, and may not fill a large space to your satisfaction. Scheduling of setup and teardown may also become difficult if the space has specific time requirements.
I would like to include some additional entertainment for my party, can Take The Cake provide any?
While we do not currently have our own team of entertainers, Take The Cake is continually partnering with entertainment professionals. Please feel free to discuss your requirements with us and we would be happy to make the arrangements on your behalf.
Are your employees bonded?
Yes. Our employees are have been thoroughly screened and bonded for your peace of mind.
Your packages all quote a delivery and set-up fee, can I pickup my package at your location?
Unfortunately, our theme packages to do not lend themselves to being picked up. Not only are the majority of our décor items currently stored in an unmanned warehouse, but many items are also oversized, fragile or require set-up.
Why do some packages have guest maximums?
There is generally some limiting factor to establish the maximum, but most common are the number of costumes or place settings available, as we do not use disposable tableware.
Why are some packages limited to a specific age range?
We do spend much time thinking about what themes are appropriate or desirable to certain ages, as well as the components that make up the theme;
Activities - options such as activities will vary greatly with age.
Décor – less fragile items for young partygoers, smaller tables, less frightening (Pirates or Halloween themes).
Costumes - the available sizes of the costumes will generally limit the age range however, please feel free to inquire as we may be willing to expand the age range by adding more costumes.
Why does a company called Take The Cake not offer cakes?
Take The Cake plans to incorporate various options for cakes in the near future. We are currently planning our permanent location, which will include a commercial kitchen.
Why can I not complete my transaction on your site?
We are working towards having a complete e-commerce site, but booking an event requires many decisions to made and coordinated. We are working on the best way to manage those details without overburdening our clients.
